Text Box: THE EPISCOPAL ROSARY

There are 33 beads and a cross that make up the Anglican Rosary (not including the little spacer beads). Prayer begins with the Cross, then moves to the Invitation Bead, followed by the first of Four Cruciform Beads. Between each pair of cruciform beads is a set of seven “week” beads (like seven days in a week).

Below is one form of prayers to use with the Rosary.  You may develop and use any prayers to say with the rosary.

The Cross

Santo, santo, santo, mi Corazon te adora!
Mi Corazon te sabe decir: santo eres Senor

Or

Holy, holy, holy, my heart, my heart adores you!
My heart is glad to say the words: you are holy, Lord.

Invitation Bead (said)

Holy God, Holy and Mighty,
Holy Immortal One, have mercy upon me (us)

Cruciform Beads (chant)

O Lord, hear my prayer, O Lord, hear my prayer,
             When I call, answer me.
O Lord, hear my prayer, O Lord, hear my prayer
             Come and listen to me.

*The weeks: (chanted for each “week” bead).

Adoramus te, Domine  (Latin for “We adore you, Lord God.”)

                                                                     On each bead…
For the 1st “week”: (Adoration)          …name something wonderful about God.
For the 2nd “week”: (Confession)         …tell God something you wish you hadn’t                                                                                                done, or something you wish you had done.
For the 3rd “week”: (Thanksgiving)     …tell God something you are thankful for.
For the 4th “week”: (Supplication)       …ask God for something, either for yourself or
                                                                              someone else.
